It's easy to get there. Go to the roundabout right past the front of the Emirates Palace Hotel and make a u-turn. Immediately on your right you should see a dirt road that looks like it leads to a parking lot for big rigs and a boat yard. (there's a lot of construction so this may change a little, but it is in that general area) go down it and take your first right. You will see some guys docking and undocking jetskis and the booth that you pay at it is right past it. It's about 100AED to get out there, which is more then worth it. This place will blow your mind, it's really, really fun. The girls are pretty, the drinks are reasonable, the dj's are awesome, and the beach/view are incredible. You can get a bottle for about 450AED and a bucket of coronas for about 160AED. Sheesha'a about 50 AED. It's just to cool, you gotta go! Listen to Sak Noel - Loca People and Earthquake by Labrinth to set the mood! Have FUN!

I have been to Al Maya Island just this weekend for a friends birthday. And honestly according to everyone who came and myself, it was the best birthday.

It only takes 20 mins to get there, and there are boats there that take you back to Abu Dhabi every 30 minutes.

It is a get away place, everyone there is friendly, prices are reasonable and on top of that there is a small football field, a volleyball area on shore, a clean and lovely beach ..

All in all
people must go to experience what I experienced !

Been to Al Maya island. It is an amazing place for day out. Beach is really clean and well maintained.

Al Maya Island resort and events were THE best in town. It's value of money as well. the most amazing thing about that place is the perfect arrangements, clean spot, delicious food and fantastic music every Friday!
Wish they continue, for it was SUPERB!

out of five, i'll say it's almost a 4. say 3.8?? place is really great, though not much to do as it is yet to be developed. however, with what it already has, i had a great time, even the greens of the place were divine
